Yes, there is a form of extreme hiking camping known as backpacking or wilderness camping. This type of camping involves carrying all necessary gear and supplies on your back and hiking long distances to remote and rugged locations. Backpacking often requires a higher level of physical fitness, outdoor skills, and self-sufficiency compared to traditional camping. One pro argument for abolishing the hiking day could be that it may not be inclusive for all individuals, such as those with physical disabilities or health conditions that prevent them from participating. Additionally, the environmental impact of large groups of people hiking in a concentrated area on a specific day could be detrimental to the local ecosystem. Lastly, abolishing the hiking day could encourage people to spread out their outdoor activities throughout the year, reducing overcrowding and wear and tear on popular hiking trails. **

One pro argument for abolishing the school hiking day could be that it may not be inclusive for all students. Not all students may have the physical ability or resources to participate in a hiking day, which could lead to feelings of exclusion or inadequacy. Additionally, the time spent on a hiking day could be used for more educational or inclusive activities that benefit all students. Lastly, there may be safety concerns associated with taking a large group of students on a hiking trip, which could be avoided by abolishing the hiking day. **
